I have not always had the best relationship with food. We've had our moments of glory. We've had some amazing times in the midst of parties and celebrations. Food was there for me in times of deep darkness. I've abused it, manipulated it, hid it, and misunderstood it.
I have just recently, and finally, begun to think about food differently: as fuel, as a way of life. It's no longer a way to handle emotions. It's no longer a reward for a job well done. This realization has taken me further than I thought I could ever go. I am stronger than I have ever been, happier in my friendships, work and lifestyle, and healthier than I could have ever imagined.
But enough about me. This blog is for you, really. I want to share my findings with you. I want to let you know that you can have a better and healthier relationship with food and fitness. You can take ownership of your life that extends far beyond meal prepping and recipes. You can enjoy the person you are now, and work toward the person you want to become. You, too, are fierce. You, too, can make Paleo-ish delish dishes. You, too, can meal prep like a pro. You, too, can change your relationship with food and fitness for the better. You are stronger than you think you are.
